Materials:

• Base coat
• White nail polish
• Black nail polish
• Thin nail art striping brush (optional)

Instructions:

1. Prep your nails: Begin by prepping your nails. This includes removing any old polish, trimming and shaping your nails, and gently pushing back your cuticles. Apply a base coat to protect your nails and create a smooth canvas for the polish. Let the base coat dry completely.

2. Paint your base color: Apply two thin coats of white nail polish to all your nails. Allow each coat to dry thoroughly before applying the next.

3. Create the stripes: Here comes the fun part! There are two main ways to create zebra stripes:

   • Using a striping brush: If you have a thin nail art striping brush, this method offers more control over the thickness and placement of your stripes. Dip the striping brush in black nail polish and carefully drag it across your nail to create a thin stripe. You can make the stripes straight, wavy, or slightly curved – there are no wrong answers! Repeat this process to create multiple stripes on each nail, varying the thickness and direction for a more realistic zebra effect.

   • Using a regular nail polish brush: Don’t have a striping brush? No problem! You can still achieve stunning zebra stripes with a regular nail polish brush. Apply a small amount of black polish to a piece of scotch tape or a disposable makeup palette. Then, carefully dab the tip of your nail polish brush into the black polish, creating a small amount on the brush tip. With a light touch, drag the brush across your nail in a single stroke to create a thin stripe. Repeat this process, adding more stripes and varying their thickness and direction.

4. Clean up: Once you’ve created your zebra stripes, use a cotton swab dipped in nail polish remover to clean up any smudges around the edges of your nails. Be gentle and avoid touching the painted design.

5. Seal the deal: Apply a final coat of top coat to protect your design and add a glossy finish. Let the top coat dry completely, and enjoy your fierce zebra nails!

Tips:

• For a more opaque look, you can add an extra thin coat of white polish after creating the stripes.
• If you’re not confident in freehand painting, you can use nail art striping tape to create perfectly straight stripes.
